Sunday Mornings

Creation Corner & Treasured Toddlers

We believe that by loving and caring for these little ones, we are providing a safe environment and a place where you feel confident leaving your children, knowing they are cared for and loved. Creation Corner is our nursery for children up to the age of two. Treasured Toddlers is for preschool age. This is where children are introduced to God’s Word and first start to learn about the Bible. As they learn the basics of faith, they begin to understand that God made them and everything else wonderful in this world.

Kidz Klub

Kidz Choir

Kidz Choir is for kindergarten through fifth grade children. It is a fun time of singing and learning new songs. They sing once a month during the worship service and also present a Christmas program.

Kindergarten to Second Grade

Sunday School classes for this age group are taught on a rotation basis. A lesson is taught over a six week period through different teaching methods. Knowing different children learn in different ways and by repetition Bible stories are taught by storytelling, crafts, cooking/science, and multimedia.

Third – Fifth Grade

Sunday School classes for this age group will be learning more about the Bible. Children will be challenged to learn Bible verses and apply God’s Word to their lives.

Children’s Time In Worship & Children’s Church

Kidz Klub Kids come to the sanctuary for the first part of our Worship Service. The children then participate in Children’s Time at the front of the sanctuary, participating in a short story time. Children then leave the sanctuary to attend Children’s Church in the Sunday School wing. This is a time for crafts and activities.

Wednesday Night Activities ~ Ages K-5

After enjoying supper in Fellowship Hall, children meet for a Bible lesson and time of sharing.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

Vacation Bible School will be June 13th - 17th. This year’s theme is “Sonsurf Beach Bash.” VBS is for Pre -K thru 6th grade, daily from 9:00 to 11:20.

Blackhawk Camp

Blackhawk Baptist Camp ~ Oregon, Illinois

Blackhawk Camp consists of 165 acres of beautiful Midwestern forest. The camp boasts a very beautiful entrance drive flanked by white pines and miles of trails for hiking through deciduous forest. Blackhawk is in a rural setting that is peaceful and safe. Other features of the camp include a swimming pool, sand volleyball court, basketball court, fitness playground, horseshoe pits, vespers area in the woods, and, of course, a campfire circle. The camp consists of 14 buildings, 2 pavilions, and numerous locations for outdoor activities.
